My Happy Place is a reference book of happy thoughts. It contains the happiest thoughts and memories of 54 prominent New Zealanders, from actor Sam Neill and musician Ladi6 to shepherdess Mandy Thow and New Zealand’s oldest person, Maudie Wilson.
All happy memories have been thoughtfully illustrated by school students from throughout the country.
The main aim of My Happy Place is to support the extraordinary charity KidsCan, helping Kiwi kids living in poverty to achieve their potential in life.
"I ordered a copy for my 9 year old grandson. However, having picked (My Happy Place) up I could not put it down. The written word, the lovely illustrations... were much appreciated. My grandson will get much Aroha from this gem of a book" - 78 year old grandfather of five, Trevor Agnew, Auckland
